Maryland Water Monitoring Council 24th Annual Conference

The Maryland Water Monitoring Council will hold its 24th Annual Conference at the Maritime Conference Center Dec. 7, 2018. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the conference will adjourn at 4:30 p.m.
The theme of the conference is Science, Stewardship and Citizen Involvement – Working Together for Clean Water.
The Maryland Water Monitoring Council annual conference fosters communication and collaboration among agencies and organizations working to restore and protect Maryland’s waters. About 600 representatives from agencies, environmental organizations, businesses, and schools will attend.
The morning plenary session will feature presentations by Will Baker, Chesapeake Bay Foundation president, and Dominique Lueckenhoff, Senior Advisor to the Regional Administrator, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region III.
The conference will include 82 talks and 44 poster presentations, including 14 student posters, on topics as varied as urban ecology, environmental reporting, marine debris, fish passage, stream restoration, community engagement, and citizen science.
