The biennial “Annapolis Bermuda Ocean Race” is scheduled to occur on the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean during June 10-16, 2016.
The long distance sail race with approximately 35 participants (from 30 to 65 feet in length) will start east of Tolly Point at the mouth of the Severn River near Annapolis, MD at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016, proceed southward in the Chesapeake
Bay passing Cape Henry, VA, into the open Atlantic. The race is expected to finish at Bermuda on Thursday, June 16, 2016.
The Annapolis Bermuda Ocean Race combine inshore and offshore racing through its route down the Chesapeake Bay, across the Gulfstream, and onto Bermuda. At 753 miles, it is the longest ocean race on the east coast of the U.S.
