On Friday, May 29, the Chesapeake Bay Trust will celebrate 30 years at its Annual Treasure the Chesapeake Celebration at the Marriott Annapolis Waterfront hotel.
Last year’s event sold out with over 500 guests in attendance who raised more than $100,000 to help the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. Event organizers expect this year’s gala to include more than 150 companies and organizations participating as sponsors, in-kind partners and silent auction donors.
The 17th Annual Treasure the Chesapeake Celebration will include a handcrafted menu and open bar, a deejay and dancing, casino games, fresh shucked oysters, and a silent auction with more than 40 packages available.
Major supporters include Constellation Energy and Exelon Generation as “Blue Heron” sponsors of the event, with M&T Bank, Venable and the Great Chesapeake Bay Swim sponsoring at the “Oyster” level.
Sponsorships range from $250 to $10,000 with a host of benefits provided. All money raised benefits the Chesapeake Bay Trust, a nonprofit, grantmaking organization that awards $9 million per year to advance Bay restoration, environmental education, and community outreach throughout Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay region.
