Subaru of America, Inc. (“SOA”) in partnership with two local dealerships, Annapolis Subaru and Gateway Subaru, recently presented almost $13,000 to the Chesapeake Bay Trust as a part of the 2013 Subaru “Share the Love” event.
At an event held at the Annapolis Subaru store, supporters of the Trust and Subaru alike attended to learn how much was raised to benefit the Chesapeake Bay.
From Nov. 21, 2013 to Jan. 2, 2014, customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru vehicle could select from a list of charities to receive a donation of $250 from SOA through the “Share the Love” event.
“Subaru customers deeply value their natural resources and here in Maryland, nothing is more treasured than the Chesapeake Bay,” said Molly Alton Mullins, director of communications for the Chesapeake Bay Trust. “We are honored to work with both Annapolis Subaru and Gateway Subaru and we sincerely thank them for their generous support and commitment to the Chesapeake Bay Trust, and to the Chesapeake Bay.”
Ferrogine, dealer principal of both locations, presented a check on behalf of Gateway Subaru for $2,166.64. The second donation, on behalf of the Annapolis Subaru location, totaled $10,458.22.
The Chesapeake Bay Trust, a 4-Star charity as ranked by Charity Navigator, takes 90 cents of every dollar it receives and dedicates it to projects and programs than benefit local communities and the Chesapeake Bay.
